Perhaps the labels aren’t rendering consistently on every type of device. The redbud against the blue sky is from March. I distinctly remember taking that photo (and many others) with that rich blue sky as backdrop.
I have been trying to decide how I want to look back at 2022 in the garden with little success. This is such a positive and attractive way to do it that I may borrow it. Thanks for giving my morning such a pleasant start.
Glad you enjoyed it Linda. I usually try to do more of a writeup with every plant identified, but this year it was gratifying just to remember there were flowers.
A gorgeous potpourri of flowers and butterflies. I agree with Kris it’d make a fab calendar. I make a calender with images of the head gardener and her best friend (mostly among flowers!) each year. I look forward to your flower arrangements in 2023 and wish you and your husband all the best. I hope he’s back to his old self again.
Thanks for the kind wishes, Annette. He is making some progress. Your calendar is a treasure I’m sure. Yours is one lucky head gardener. Happiness and peace in 2023!
Oh, I love these round-up posts, and yours is beautiful! I didn’t get around to doing one this year, so I’m enjoying reading and viewing others’. All the best for a very Happy New Year ahead!
That was a lovely review of the year Susie, and so much more pleasant than all the other reviews I have seen recently! I shall be dreaming of butterflies and peonies tonight. 😃 Happy New Year!
What a colourful year!
I was surprised when I started looking back over the year.
I really enjoyed your year in flowers, especially after our hard freeze.
Glad you enjoyed the flowers, Judy. It made me feel better about the past year to go back and review.
A delightful post, Susie, so beautiful!!
Thanks, Eliza. It’s reassuring to be reminded how the garden grows.
Oh waht a wonderfully bright series of photos this is, Susie – it was the glorious simplicity of April’s that jumped out at me
Thanks Cathy. April’s irises! Always a treat.
Oops – actually, I meant the pink blossom against the blue sky, which I now see is April… 😉

Thanks Kris, I did in fact have a few calendars printed up for gifts. Each year is different but it’s always fun to see flowers return.
