Wonderful photos, Susie. Your garden is filled with life!
Thanks. Yes, it has been good to have so many creatures (and flowers).
Love it, you are so patient. I still love the clearwing.
Thanks Amy, the clearwing is such a curious little thing. I end up taking zillions of pictures when I see one.
Lots of flowers and lots of visitors.
Yes, it felt like a lucky week of abundance.
A beautiful post with some beautiful visitors. That “different drummer” Zinnia is unique.
Thanks Beth! I think the extreme heat and drought may have the zinnias experimenting with survival. Thought this one was interesting.
Beautiful shots, Beth! The ‘Cafe au Lait’ Dahlia’s coloration is interesting – I’ve seen ivory specimens and pink specimens but yours is a great mix of both. I love the butterfly, dragonfly and hummingbird moth pics.
Thanks Kris. I really like that coffee cream color characteristic of ‘Cafe au Lait’ and am not so fond of the streaky version, but the dahlia is doing much better this year in terms of yield.
Wow! Great photos with id.
Thanks so much, Flower!
I have neglected my precious dahlias.
They do like a little TLC, I’m finding out.
Now, those photos are impressive. The pollinators must be tweeting to stop at your wonderful garden for nectar.
Judy, what a fun idea to consider–the pollinator’s own social media!
