Nice and summery.
Thanks! It feels summery too–humidity has settled in to stay a while.
Beautiful images, Susie. Some great IAVOM material coming on board!
Thanks Eliza. You guessed it! I am hoping the dahlias and zinnias do well so there will plenty for vases.
Was the “early morning rinse” provided by irrigation or rain? I look forward to seeing this year’s dahlias in your garden as well as my own 😉
Kris, it was a 90-minute gentle shower, just enough to fill the bird baths and give the plants a little hope!
They look so fresh after their morning shower! 😃
Rain is magical that way. Helps the plants so much more than my hand-watering.
There is nothing like a morning shower.
The gentle rain was a nice reprieve from the heat.
Very pretty. Do you label your plants? If so, what do you use? Thanks.
I haven’t found a good solution to labels in-ground. I keep an extensive plant list just in a text file and keep it updated when buying new plants. When planting I take lots of pictures of packaging and try include enough surrounding context to find it later. That’s how I figured out the new dahlia’s name.
Lovely, with the dew droplets. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Beth. Actual raindrops yesterday, but the garden is still thirsty.
Whether dew, rain, or the garden hose, delightful. Zinnias! Mine are only 6″ tall as yet.
We had a gentle shower that lasted about an hour and a half. Not sure how much accumulated but garden looks lie it wants more today. My zinnias are late and very few made it (blaming rabbits!).
