The iris in my Monday vase opened earlyTuesday morning. With temperatures this week at or below freezing this week, those outdoors strategically have elected to delay.
That’s a beauty! I have one like it, but the person who gave me the rhizomes didn’t know the variety, so I’m not sure. They’re all really special and so great for cut flowers, aren’t they?

Yes, before the flower opened it was almost inky and dark purple.
