For a second year Cathy of Words and Herbs is hosting a Week of Flowers and on this penultimate day of the challenge I have three favorites to share.
Anemones in late March and salvias throughout summer helped nourish my enthusiasm for blues and greens in the garden.
For an uplifting color boost this week visit Cathy in Bavaria at Words and Herbs to see florals from around the globe.
Love the blues.
Thanks Judy! I guess I wouldn’t like everything to be blue but wouldn’t mind more.
Those photos produced not only smiles but a deep sigh Susie. 😃 Those blues are simply gorgeous. I always admire your anemones. And that salvia is such a lovely rich colour. Wonderful!
So glad Cathy! I do love blues. My anemones have mostly disappeared. Need to replant although I think the voles are waiting for the shelves to be restocked.
I so love blue flowers, why? would love some ideas??Beautiful, enjoyed the images.
Thank Amy. Let me know if you figure it out.
I will, probably Gertrude Jekyll?!
Ooh, ooh, ooh! SO gorgeous! I love cobalt blue. I love the raindrops on the anemones, too.
Thanks Eliza–one of the few times it rained!
WOW what beautiful color.

Thanks Jane. I love that color too!
Gray, rainy day here so this is truly a breath of sunshine in vivid color.
It’s been uplifting to look back through photos. It’s easy to forget how well some flowers did. Hope the sun finds you soon.
What glorious blues. Good choices all!
Thanks Allison. I do love blues!
