In its second year Cathy of Words and Herbs is hosting a Week of Flowers, inviting everyone to share some extra colour and cheer by posting one flowery photo a day, for a week.
With gentle Lamb’s Ear leaning in, Lily ‘Royal Sunset’ opened in early June to reveal subtle brushwork in soft peach, apricot and gold.
For an uplifting color boost this week visit Cathy in Bavaria at Words and Herbs to see florals from around the globe.
That is perfection Susie. Isn’t nature amazing?! 😃
Thanks! Yes, nature is ever inspiring!
Wow – what a saucy, superb lily flower. Perfect with the lamb’s ear!
Thanks! Caught it at its best. I dream of borders filled with lilies and other flowers but rabbits have other ideas.
I love the color of that lily! After a minor success in getting lilies to bloom here earlier this year, I indulged in more bulbs this year. I’ve got my fingers crossed that all will flower in the coming year.
Bulbs are good values if they don’t get eaten. Glad you have stocked up.
What a gorgeous lily! ❤
Thanks Eliza. It made such a sweet vignette for a few days.
Very pretty and what a wonderful, evocative commentary.
Thank you Amy!
Stunning!
Thank you. Hope this lily comes back next year. I really enjoyed it.
