The path forward is not always clear.
Cumulative rainfall here for the last 90 days is normally 10.6 inches. We are 4.12 inches above normal and that amount is growing by the moment.

You are so right the path forward is not always clear. I look forward to seeing this path in June/July because I know you will help the path move forward beautifully.

Jane, I’ve been anxious to begin cleanup in the garden but it is too wet to think about it. I picture a desolate dry July when I am longing for rain!
Wow, you’re inundated. Do you keep rainbarrels? If so, I expect that they are filled completely!
It would have been a good year to start collecting water Eliza but I don’t have rain barrels. Hope things dry out soon.
Nice windchimes, if that is what I am hearing? The path looks swampy now.
My sister gave me the windchimes a few years ago and they make the meditation circle even more special. The video isn’t loading on my browser today, did you see it or did you just hear the audio. I decided to try the block editor again, so don’t know if the problem is related to that or what else it could be. I may recreate the page in the classic if I get time, just to check.
I think I fixed it.
I just heard the audio, though it was wonderful. I have tried the videos and couldn’t make it work. Good luck. The Block Editor is a drag..
Bummer. That’s what happened to me. I just changed the video setting “preload” from metadata to auto to force the video to load.
No idea how to help..or what metadata is
Yikes! The path isn’t clear or particularly safe from the look of it. I hope you get a chance to dry out soon. In contrast, it appears we’re facing the driest year we’ve had yet. No one can call Mother Nature even-handed.
Oh gosh, it seems the weather is extreme for most of us right now, in one way or another. We have loads of snow and polar temperatures that won’t quit. I’m a little worried about the snow melt once the warmth returns. I hope your rain will let up a bit soon!
Good luck with the snow and cold temps Beth. We have to remember spring is on its way to rescue us–isn’t it?
Gee, I think we got more rain than you did in the last three months. We do not get much rain here, but it all arrives at the same time. My former neighborhood gets about a foot or rain annually. It is only a few miles away, but is in the rain shadow on the other side of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Trona gets about four inches of rain annually.
Our annual rainfall is 47.31 inches from what I found just now. I thought it was 52. Will have to look further for definitive source.
That’s a lot of rain. I hope you get some sun soon.
Thanks Judy. It’s not looking great for the next week but we’re safe inside .
Are you getting the freeze? We are bracing for freezing rain and snow on the Gulf Coast. Everyone is told to stay home and some roads are shutting down. It is like waiting for a hurricane.
We’re hovering above freezing. The colder blast went just north of us. I do hope you’ll stay safe and snug at home and that the weather will improve soon.
Sad to see your garden flooded, Susie, pretty similar here, it’s not very inviting to do anything in the garden right now. Gladly we’re on a hill though. We always get lots of rain in winter so this is quite normal although I’d love to see it spread more evenly throughout the year. I hope the rain will stop and drain before the roots die. Keep your chin up x
Thankfully some of the water is beginning to recede, but more rain is predicted. Wishing you sunny thoughts as you await the actual sun!
after I had written the post the sun came out and it’ll be beautiful and very warm all week :), sending you some sun xx
Sounds so nice. Sun promised here tomorrow! Thanks for sending.
So much crazy weather this year, everywhere. I hope it soon dries out and the plants survive unscathed. Roll on Spring.
We have not had snow to speak of but it’s been cold and dreary–58% of the days this year have seen rain (26 of 45 days). Hope Spring is nearby for us all.
Rain for days on end is miserable, I know. We actually had water standing in our garden in January during a very rainy thaw! The trees in your neighbourhood will love it though, and will soak it all up really quickly. Still, hope it stops soon and you get some blue sky! 😃
You understand too as do most gardeners Cathy. ☀️ tomorrow for a brief visit. Thanks.
