I would have gotten a lot more work done this morning if not for being unable to take my eyes off this beautiful monarch. Usually I see them up close only in the fall on (by that time) ragged zinnias and lantana.

It did feel lucky to see the monarch for such a long time. I have probably 50 more pictures and a couple more videos.
Gorgeous! We’ve seen them too, though our Milkweed is not nearly as far along.
Thanks. Not sure that milkweed can last much longer. So popular with bees it’s getting a lot of wear and tear.
