Each Monday Cathy at Rambling In The Garden invites us to share an arrangement using materials collected from our gardens.
With limited bloom options this week I again selected the Yuletide camellia. Despite very cold temperatures of late freshly opened buds were easy to find.
I was in search of something diminutive so I could use a new vase, a recent gift from my friend Chris.
Standing approximately 2 inches tall this runner vase is composed of three bottles decoratively wired together.
The blue glass adds to the charm of the vase.
A holiday tea towel, several sprigs of rosemary and small candles lend a seasonal touch to this week’s vignette.

Perfect; I love it!
Thanks Christina!
That is a very interesting vase.
Thanks, yes I think so too. Sweet little gift.
Now that is the kind of friend every gardener would like to have. And the vase is a great way to highlight special blooms like yours.
Someone recently asked just how many vases I have. Answer: too many and never enough! This little one is so cute.
Simply beautiful! In the first image I thought you’d intentionally left your pruners on the table. What a cool tea towel! Happy holidays!
Thanks Peter. I love that little tea towel too. Perfect for a gardener! Enjoy the holidays!
Your runner vase is clever and pretty – and perfect for those stunning camellias!
Thanks, the camellias have bloomed their hearts out this season when not much else is available.
I have recently seen Yuletide advertised for sale here and having seen yours and other’s blooms it is something I am considering – what wonderful flowers for this time of year. And such a lovely little vase too – with time and patience that is a nice little project to do if one had access to the right kind of bottles. Such a joyous vase today, Susie – thank you!
The vase does look “approachable” as a project if one were so inclined. I think it’s so cute. Perhaps we’ll both be sharing Yuletide next year Cathy!
Perhaps we will, Susie!
What a happy seasonal still life, Susie, with these pretty three sisters all lined up (Yuletide is such a star plant!). Have a fab christmas, looking forward to your creations in 2018 🙂
Thanks Annette, and I’ll be excited to see what you have in store for 2018 as well!
I can see how Yuletide camellia got its name. I don’t have them in this garden, but loved them in Chapel Hill. Have a grand Christmas.
Yuletide is finally “in season”! Hope you and your family have a great Christmas too John.
Oh those are wonderful! I love camellias…wish I could grow them up here!
I wish you could too Joanna, they are treasures.
‘Yuletide’ as always is beautiful but I love that runner vase and the charming tea towel, so perfect for a gardener. I hope you’re enjoying the holidays despite the weather, Susie.
Isn’t that a sweet little vase? I adore it. The weather turned fairly mild today so it was pleasant. We had a few pretty stiff, cold mornings over the weekend.
Beautiful work!
A Merry Christmas to you and yours, Susie, see you next year❣️🎄🤶❤️🌿❤️🌿🎅
And to you Dina! Happy Holidays!
The Camellia is gorgeous, and the whole set-up is so cheery and festive! Love your table ‘cloth’ as well as the new vase!
Isn’t that tea towel cute? A neighbor gave it to me several years ago and I’ve been reluctant to use it.
Everything about this display is lovely. I think you would have a successful career as a house stager. It would sell quickly because of your creative and dramatic eye. 🙂
Gee, thanks Judy! My house is so sparse people comment that it looks staged!
You know I love this! Happy Yuletide.
Thought of you! Enjoy and have a wonderful holiday.
A beautiful festive vignette! I love the embroidered cloth with garden clippers and the shiny red votives matching the Yuletide camellias are perfect. Have a great week ahead, Susie – enjoy!
Thanks Eliza. Happy Holidays!
This is very pretty and welcoming and shows that you don’t need much in the way of flowers to create a show. A gorgeous little set of vases.
Thanks Alison. The new vase helped with inspiration.
I love those camellia flowers and the table cloth is wonderfully appropriate (nice use of the rosemary too)!
Lovely Camellias. Very much in tune with the holiday spirit.
Enjoy the holiday season Jason and Judy!
Just right😀
Thanks Brian! Happy holidays.
So perfect for the season in every way. Happy holidays!
Thank you Beth! Enjoy the holidays!
