Happy Winter Susie! Wishing you wonderful holidays….Merry Christmas!
Thanks Donna and to you too! Nice to hear from you. Hope you’re doing well.
The oak leaved Hydrangea is one of my must have plants (there are so many!)
I haven’t always appreciated oak leaved hydrangeas but admire them more and more each year. This one is dwarf, but I may look for others.
Frost and fog make winter bearable for beauty lovers.
Hi Ricki, they do help, don’t they.
Your garden looked like mine this morning. But this afternoon was gorgeous…got in some last minute pruning/cleaning/weeding…just in time for St. Nick. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
Thanks John! You’ve been industrious. I still have bulbs to plant.
I did 15 today. Hope it’s not too late.
It IS cold out your way! Today was supposed to be very warm, mid-to-upper 70sF, here but it never got there and, unexpectedly, it rained!!!! Happy winter solstice – the days get longer from here on!
Happy you had more rain Kris. Today warmed up again and would have been a beautiful gardening day, but other duties prevailed. Looking forward to those longer days.
The frost looks lovely on your hydrangea Susie! 🙂
Thanks Cathy! That oak leaf hydrangea didn’t do well at first, so I moved it into a little more sun, where it has thrived and added nice color.
Oak leaved hydrangea is gorgeous and it looks lovely rimed with frost. It looks cold in your part of the world. Roll on spring.
Yes, Spring is welcome here too!
Love the picture of H. quercifolia! Great color, great photograph.
Thanks. The H. quercifolia has finally lived up to its promise of rich fall color.
