Happy July! There was a nice surprise this afternoon in the garden. This Asiatic lily with rich carmine red color is called ‘Black Out.’ Next time I would plant this directly into the garden instead of a pot to give it more room.

What a color, I love the depth. I think it looks even better in the pot where you can really get up close.
Isn’t that a great red? Perhaps I overcrowded this pot. Think more would have bloomed it they hadn’t been packed in with the annuals.
