Yes, Julie, it really has been mild. We have dipped below freezing several times, but then it’s warmed up to spring-like temps. We were above 70F/21C for the past week.
I’ve just heard on the news our December is milder than this years May, although that was 2 degrees down on normal. For anyone still doubting Climate change, they cannot be a gardener.
Oh I love the blue ones! Is this unusual for them to be growing (and blooming) at this time of year? I planted mine last fall so they came up in spring.
Well this is a very early but beautiful surprise Susie, you must be having very mild weather there like us.

Lovely, I have one deep blue one flowering, but the plants are all growing well so I’m hopeful that there will be more in the new year.

This is early but I have had the deep pink one in flower from the end of January.
Stunning. I ‘pinned’ it so I can remember when looking for new plants. 🙂
Lovely, and a perfect subject for Wordless Wednesday! 🙂
Soooo beautiful! Still blooming in your garden? I usually see them bloom in late spring or early summer, not late autumn.
Really takes your breath, such an amazing macro shot.
Absolutely beautiful!
I love the way that the petals are so delicate that you can see through them to the petals beneath. Beautiful.
Thanks Malc.
