Hi Christina, I will have a post on yesterday’s Creative Design class soon. It’s a mysterious design–hard to explain–but I’ll show you what I did. Need lots more practice with this one.
Love this..and the Fatsia too! They are one of my favorites. I was out this morning cleaning leaves and feeding my pansies!!! oh so nice to be outside again, if only til it gets cold again…
Thanks Libby. I envy you being outside. I’ve been tied up all week with commitments that have largely kept me on the road or indoors. But just knowing the sun is out brings a smile. Happy gardening.
Full of promise!
Yes, makes me smile Cathy.
I hope you will share what you are learning at your workshop.

They look intriguing Susie, what is the wide hand shaped leaf behind?
Hi Julie, the leaf is Fatsia japonica. I read it is yatsude (“eight fingers”) in Japan.
Watching them open is the best bit. I hope they do!
Oh, I hope they will open too Jessica. Thanks.

I like buds when they are just about to pop.
I do too. These asiatic lily buds are only slightly more open tonight. They’re in no hurry.
Such a picture of hope…Love the subject you chose.
Thank you.
