At mid-afternoon and mid-week, it is a sunny 54°F. There is a freeze-watch for tonight, but the plants in the garden seem emboldened by the moderating temperatures of the past few days. In these first days of April spring is inching forward, bringing deep, rich color.
Oh no not another Frost!
Just slight chance I think. You’ll probably be ok. The little garden plants you shared seemed to be doing well. Thanks again.
I was in Cary today & it was snowing!!!
Live well & grow strong little plants!
Stay warm Susie…
Snowing, really? That’s wild! Hope this is winter’s last gasp. Take care. Susie
Good to see the garden coming to life again after its rest.
Yes, it is nice. Hope your side of the earth is warming up too!
At last, spring is on its way, it will start with us at the weekend. We hope the forecast is correct, as we have all been waiting a long time for it to start! Your flowers look as though they have been enjoying your sunshine, hope they survive your frost!
That’s great news Pauline. Spring has been slow-maybe we’ll all appreciate it even more. susie
I noticed yesterday that the snow had finally melted off my pink phlox. Your photos and plants are beautiful.
Thanks very much! You must be relieved to say goodbye to the snow, Judy. Now we can all get on with spring.
Color is popping out all over my garden, too. Such a relief. I don’t know if it’s all psychological or not, but colors seem more intense to me at this time of year than at any other time. I love spring!
Isn’t spring wonderful? I used to equate spring with pastel colors but, as you say, there is a lot of intensity this time of year. susie
Good for you! In Canada here, the weather is still cold. 😦
Thanks, hope your turn for warm weather comes very soon!
Yes, I truely hope so!
I really enjoyed your early spring garden colors. Thank for sharing a little spring hope.
Glad to share today and looking forward to following the colors of Seattle.
I can feel the sunshine in your images, colour drenched and full of promise. The phlox is a lovely colour. Christina
Thanks Christina–I’ve been so grateful to have some warmer sunny days.
It looks like spring is well underway, so I hope the frost is not too hard. How lovely to see the Phlox again!
Thanks Cathy! We had sleet this afternoon, but the next week or so should be sunny and around 70 degrees.
Your blooms lifted me from my glumness as I am still not out in the garden due to weather.
Glad it helped a little bit Donna to see some flowers in bloom. Yours will be all the more beautiful for the wait!
