A Gardener’s Quick Glimpse

An overcast morning, followed by a rainy afternoon, left golden leaves covering the grass and paths. Just before the raindrops began falling, there were a few minutes to glimpse the garden. Aquilegia canadensis leaves are colorful this time of year. The persisting blooms of gaura, hydrangea, and chrysanthemum in reds, pinks and pale yellows caught my eye as did the ochre spiraea leaves, charcoal baptisia australis pods and umber monarda seeds.

I’ve enjoyed all the pretty flowers. If it doesn’t freeze tonight, I’m going to send some photos of the bush next to the mailbox (tea name??) in full bloom.
