The garden has been neglected the last few years. Too many frustrations: deer, noisy surroundings, drought, and life’s distractions. Time again to focus on what is important and to create a peaceful setting.
Went outside today to plant bulbs: narcissus “Flower Carpet” (Carol C. shared some she’d bought at Terra Ceia Farms); tall iris, and Muscari (both generic grocery store variety). It may seem late to be planting them, but all the bulbs had been chilling in the refrigerator and should be fine. 40 degrees at 10:30am. Partly cloudy, sun’s warmth was satisfying. The garden holds a surprising amount of winter interest.
